Bob Carmody, Governance Officer
Bob Carmody is the co-founder and owner Diana’s Bananas, a Chicago-based manufacturer of “The World’s Best Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas.”
Bob’s background includes working for IBM and serving as the Director of Knowledge Management Alliances and Sales Director for KPMG Consulting. He served as Sales Director for a the TDM division of Rand McNally and Manugistics, Inc. Bob followed that as a Director in Knowledge Management Systems for KPMG Consulting (Bearing Point) He received his degree in Design Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is a veteran, serving in the US Army from 1969 to 1971.
Bob serves on several Board of Directors in his effort to “pay it forward”:
- Chairman of the Board, Board of Regents and “Ambassador of Mercy” supporting the work of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls
- Board Chairman Emeritus of the Chicago Family Business Council sponsored by DePaul University
- Board of Directors for the “Hatchery” and Industrial Council of Near west Chicago
- Director on the advisory board of the National Frozen and Refrigerated Association
