President’s Message – What’s Going On
Well, my time as your President is winding down…just a few months left before I transition to Chairperson. Jeff Conner of Liners Direct has already been working behind the scenes to start his term as President with a bang!
The next few months at EFBC are packed with several incomparable opportunities for learning and development. I expect to see many of you at the May 12th Get a Grip! workshop with Rene Boer. This program is designed for you to bring your family and employees to learn about transforming your business with EOS (from Traction). After the workshop, we will celebrate our outgoing Chairman and leader, Bob Carmody of Diana’s Bananas.
Our new Curriculum Committee has been actively working to streamline the education we offer through the Roots: A Course for Anchoring Your Business course. The next class is June 15th and all prospective members, Strategic Partners and members should register soon. There are lots of great nuggets to take back to your business! Thank you to committee members Deanna Salo, Dr. Harold Welsch, Jay Smith and Judy Hogel for making the curriculum a success.
Don’t forget the Young Leaders Toast on the Terrace on June 9th. The gathering is hosted by ODEA at the Civic Opera Building’s 15th floor rooftop. We also have our golf outing on July 11th at Chicago Highlands Club in Westchester. So many fun occasions to look forward to this summer!
Finally, the Executive Committee is preparing for the June 22nd Board Meeting. Members, please take some time to vote on the Emeritus Membership amendment before June 1. If you have multiple members at your business, please gather the insight from each person before voting on behalf of the member company. Everyone’s voice is important.
