Deanna L. Salo, CPA
Deanna specializes in consulting with closely-held family owned businesses. She focuses on how the business will affect the family, the owners and the succession of the business operations. She provides innovative tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Deanna has more than 25 years of public accounting experience with Cray, Kaiser Ltd., located in Oak Brook, Illinois. As an audit and tax partner, she identifies and executes assurance services and tax planning services to the overall client-base. Assesses procedures and controls relating to privacy and confidentiality, performance measurements, systems reliability, information security, and outsourced process controls. Special engagements include mergers and acquisitions, handling both the buyer and seller’s side of the transactions.
Deanna is actively involved in the Chicago Family Business Council, an Executive Board Member with the DuPage Area Education to Careers and Technical Preparation and Empowering Women Network, Inc. She has also served as the Chairperson of the DuPage Student Leadership Academy for more than eight years. She is also a recipient of the 2003 Annual Award for Business Excellence (AABE), which recognizes individuals and businesses who have attained success through excellent management and client services.
Deanna graduated of the University of Arizona with Bachelors in Accountancy and Business in 1986 and joined Cray, Kaiser Ltd. Deanna became a partner in Cray, Kaiser Ltd. in 2001.
Roger L. Reitz
Roger received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1973 and has worked in public accounting all but two years of his career. Committed to community and public involvement, Roger was a member of his local chapter of the Rotary Club, has been a member of his community library board for over eleven years, was the first lay President and served on the Board of Directors for a Catholic girls’ high school and was President and served on the Board of Directors at his tennis club in River Forest.
He has been involved with various professional organizations over the years, but is most proud of his involvement with the Accounting Principles Committee of the Illinois CPA Society. This committee is one of the senior technical committees within the Society and is charged with reviewing and commenting on proposed changes to standards affecting all practice units in the profession.
Roger was the managing shareholder of Cray, Kaiser for fifteen years while maintaining a full client workload. He is accredited as a Certified Valuation Analyst and has performed valuations for client businesses in multiple industries. The valuations could be prepared for numerous reasons including sale, divorce, estate planning or gifting purposes.
