We so often discuss succession planning from the perspective of the outgoing generation. This workshop will explore this crucial issue from the perspective of the next generation. How can you know for sure that joining the family business is the best decision for you?

Many next-gen leaders believe that joining the family business is the best option for them for many reasons, including financial reasons. While this can typically be the case, there are many aspects to consider before making this decision. Does your family business have a succession plan? Is the older generation prepared to pass on the company to the next-gen? How does a transition work? How can I ensure that I’m in the best possible position to lead? Should I consider other opportunities before joining the business?

Jonathan Michael of Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella will explore these questions with us as well as answer any specific questions you may have.

Following this casual presentation and roundtable, we will be gathering for drinks at Pazzo’s (right next door).

This event is hosted by CFBC's Young Leaders Committee. If you identify as a next-generation leader, this event is for you! If not, we invite you to extend this event invitation to the young leaders in your company and community. We hope to see you there!
